What have you learnt since last time we were together? This was the question Justin Kershaw’s mentor asked him frequently. It became evident to him that this was a question which was never easy to answer adequately. It would need to be articulated accurately, and he had to keep in mind that he would be accountable for the learning to be thoughtful and purposeful.
Well, can I precisely articulate what I have learnt since last time I submitted a post?
- I do not thrive in an individual-focused working environment.
- Structure is more difficult to obtain and adhere to.
- The space between stimulus and response is influenced by new external factors – impulses are stronger than rational judgement.
- That I should shut down, restart, and update my neural network more frequently than my computer.
- Less workouts = reduced surplus for innovation and creativity.
- Listen to low key tech and practice the piano.
- Pick up my daughter as early as I can from nursery.
- She gives me perspective and activates ii.).
- There are no boundaries for what is considered fun.
Thank you to Alexander for asking me the question and for reflecting upon the importance and art of articulation – it is difficult yet purposeful to master.
